We take an approach to LTL business unlike any other carrier in the region. We have partnered with two shipper’s associations ESSA (Empire State Shippers Association) and USA (United Shippers Association) to bring this service to our customers. In combination with NBS’ customer base, the three organizations have over 3,000 members. We are able to bring this clout to bear when negotiating with our LTL carrier base. The clear winner is the shipper. Unlike third party logistic Companies, the bulk of the savings are passed directly to the shipper. Besides a healthy discount program, we have been successful in providing shippers with lower FAK rating, capped FSC (Fuel service charges) and fixed accessorial charges.
